Last night was the second swim of the week with the Master’s class.
The class is offered every Monday and Wednesday and I’ve been registered for the last 6 months, but last night was a first: it was the first time since November that I’ve done the Master’s class twice in one week.
It was tough but productive.
The duration was about 1 hour, 40 minutes and the focus was on stroke, endurance and – to some extent – speed.
It became obvious with a little closer inspection that my stroke actually sucks. I don’t pull down properly and during the course of the evening and as we corrected my stroke, the swim got easier over the course of the night.
Tonight, I’m meeting with my trainer Ric and plan to continue working on what I call ‘counter-weight’ exercises, ie. those stretches and weight training that will help correct the issues with my shoulder.
