Companies or organizations that lend moral and financial support will get some great exposure with this swim.

Of course, the greater goal here is to expand the general awareness of the swim and increase the audience size so that we can (a) encourage lots of downloads of the Waterkeepers Swim Guide App and (b) find creative ways to generate awareness for water issues in this country.  It’s a challenging message to promote because much of the country is flooded and people are suffering from torrential rains.  However, all of the same issues will remain and in some cases, the excesses that we’re getting this year only exacerbate these concerns.

With this in mind, there are thousands of companies out there with links to triathlons, big swims, merchandise etc that I’d love to speak with, so please contact me directly at bill@shomeswim.com to discuss how you can support the swim.

Here are sponsorship opportunities, although we are open to suggestions about other ways you may be able to help:

Rivers: $100

• Your logo will be placed on our site
• Your organization’s name will be mentioned at any press gatherings or events

Lakes: $500

• Your logo will be placed on our site
• Your organization’s name will be mentioned at any press gatherings or events
• Your logo will be added to any print materials that we distribute at events
• One Twitter handle of your choice will be added to select Twitter comments and updates

Oceans: $1,000 or more

• Your logo will be placed on our site
• Your organization’s name will be mentioned at any press gatherings or events
• Your logo will be added to any print materials that we distribute at events
• One Twitter handle of your choice will be added to select Twitter comments and updates
• A banner will be made for the boat and your logo will have equal prominence with other ‘Ocean’ sponsors
• A banner will be made for the final arrival in Penticton and your logo will have equal prominence other ‘Ocean’ sponsors

All sponsorship funds raised will be shared equally with the Fraser Riverkeepers and the SHOME Swim Challenge.
